Getting Started

How do I create a VaultApp account?

Creating an account is simple. Click 'Get Started' on our homepage, enter your basic information, verify your identity with a document upload, and set up two-factor authentication. The entire process takes about 10 minutes and includes a 30-day free trial.

What information should I add first?

Start with information you have readily available. Bank accounts and insurance policies are good starting points. You can add information in any order - everything is automatically saved as you go, so you can take your time.

How long does it take to organise my information?

Most users complete their basic setup in 2-3 hours spread over several sessions. You don't need to do everything at once - add information as you find it. The system auto-saves your progress.

Security & Privacy

Is my financial information secure with VaultApp?

Yes, VaultApp uses bank-level AES-256 encryption, two-factor authentication, and follows GDPR compliance standards. Your data is encrypted both when stored and transmitted. We undergo regular security audits and are aligned with ISO 27001 controls.

Can VaultApp staff see my personal information?

No. Your data is encrypted with keys that only you control. Our staff cannot decrypt or view your personal information. Even our technical support team can only see anonymized system logs for troubleshooting.

What happens if VaultApp closes down?

We provide 90 days notice and a full data export tool. You can download all your information in standard formats. We also have partnerships with other secure storage providers for seamless migration if needed.

You control who can access your information and what they can see. Family members receive secure access only when you grant it, with different permission levels available: view-only, emergency-only, or full access.

What happens in an emergency?

Our emergency access system monitors your account activity. If you don't log in for a period you specify (7, 14, 21, or 30 days), trusted contacts are notified and given secure access instructions to help manage your affairs.

Can I temporarily share information with professionals?

Yes, you can grant specific people temporary access to selected information categories for a limited time period. For example, share healthcare information with a doctor for 30 days, or financial details with an accountant during tax season.

How do I set up emergency contacts?

Go to Emergency Access Settings in your dashboard. Add trusted contacts, set their access level, choose your inactivity period, and specify notification preferences. We recommend having at least 2 emergency contacts.

How much does VaultApp cost?

We offer three plans: Basic (£5.99/month), Enhanced (£9.99/month), and Premium (£14.99/month). All plans include a 30-day free trial and 20% discount for annual billing. No credit card required to start your trial.

Can I cancel my subscription anytime?

Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time. You'll continue to have access until the end of your current billing period. Your data remains secure and accessible even after cancellation.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) through our secure Stripe payment processing. We also support direct debit for UK customers.

Do you offer refunds?

We offer a 30-day free trial so you can try VaultApp risk-free. If you're not satisfied within the first 30 days of paid subscription, we offer a full refund, no questions asked.

Does VaultApp work on mobile devices?

Can I scan documents to extract information?

Yes, our document scanning feature uses OCR technology to extract key information from photos of your statements and documents. This saves time when adding bank accounts, bills, and other financial information.

Do you send reminders for important dates?

Enhanced and Premium subscribers receive email reminders 60 days before insurance renewals, bill due dates, and document expiries. This gives you plenty of time to take action.

Technical Support

What if I forget my password?

You can reset your password using your registered email address. We'll send you a secure reset link that expires after 1 hour. You'll also need to verify your identity using two-factor authentication.

What if my phone is lost or stolen?

You can disable two-factor authentication from any trusted device, or contact our support team with identity verification. We also provide backup codes during setup that can be used in emergencies.

How do I export my data?

You can export all your data at any time from your account settings. We provide exports in multiple formats (PDF, CSV, JSON) so you can use your information with other tools or services.
